a day in the life | july edition

This month, "a day in the life" looked more like "5 minutes in the life". Summer snuck up on us and things have been so busy around here! But I did manage to capture a few shots with my partner in crime when doing a little exploring and location scouting for some of my upcoming sessions :) Yasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle PhotojournalismYasmina Cowan Photography | Lifestyle Photojournalism

It's that time again for our blog circle of mothers and friends to document a day in the life of our littles! It has been a busy month, lot's of new clients (yay!) and so much client "work", that while I had hoped to capture something truly out of the ordinary, what actually happened was I followed my one year old around the house for a morning and captured it. That's it. Not very exciting, but they mean a lot to me. So, yet again, this project teaches me to savor the beauty in the seemingly ordinary. Please be sure to follow the circle around when you've finished reading this post!

Please be sure to follow the circle around and check out what my friend Erin McGregor has been up to this month - her work never fails to amaze me. You will love it! You can check her out on Facebook here too. :)

This month I documented 5 minutes of my little one enjoying her brand new easel. We've been suffering from a major case of the blahs from this crazy long winter and needed something new to do indoors! When you've finished the post please be sure to follow the circle around!

Please follow the circle around and check out what my sweet friend Lori Frederick has been up to this month! You can check out her fab work on Facebook here too :)

I really love this blog circle and the ladies I get to collaborate with on a monthly basis. I'm so excited for this month's post because we got away from the snow and spent a week soaking up the sun in Mexico! This month's selection is a major overshare and I think I may have combined sunsets from a couple of different days in our life, but we haven't seen sunshine in months so I'm calling it a free pass!  :) When you've finished this post please be sure to follow the circle around by clicking on the link at the bottom of the post to see what my dear friend Jeanna Ludwig has been up to this month!

Please continue the circle and take a look at what my talented friend Jeanna Ludwig has been up to this month! You can also see more of her beautiful work on Facebook here!

I had high hopes of capturing something really extraordinary this month. I thought we'd do something we've never done before, go somewhere completely new, have an adventure. Somehow, it never happened, and I've photographed yet another perfectly ordinary day in our lives. As I put together this post, I realized that is what I've come to love most about this project. It's teaching me to find the beautiful in the ordinary and to take the time to document the little things. The quirks like my daughter's obsessions with escalators and having us wrapped around her little finger as we find ourselves taking the fourth lap... These are the things I'll want to remember.
