I had "met" Tonya virtually through quite a few local and national photography forums where we are both involved. Nothing makes me more nervous than photographing fellow photographers, but I was so excited to get the chance to finally meet, hang out with and photograph Tonya and her beautiful family. They are as beautiful inside as they are out and I couldn't love their session more. Thank you so much for welcoming into your home!

The minute I walked into this home, I could feel the love between this awesome family. I had so much fun capturing big sister Ella with her brand new baby brother. A huge congratulations and thank you for choosing me to photograph your beautiful family.
In home story telling sessions have stolen my heart. No awkward poses, no forced smiles, everyone comes as they are. I am sharing so many from a recent session, because I loved it so much and because I want to illustrate just how meaningful your story through pictures can be without all the extra frills. I virtually "met" Po through one of the film photography forums where I'm a member. We hit it off right away and I was just thrilled when she asked me to come to her home and photograph her sweet family of three before their new addition arrives this spring. One of the things I'll never tire of in this "job" is clients who quickly turn to friends, thank you so much for letting me capture a glimpse of your everyday!
There is something so special about those first weeks with a newborn at home. Life feels a little foggy and almost dreamlike, which is why I think it's so important to capture the beauty in those fleeting everyday initial moments. This family is beautiful, genuine and sweet. Thank you for inviting me into your home to document your first days with Conor.
Another month has gone by and it's time for a blog circle with some wonderful photographers who I feel so lucky to call friends. The summer really got away from us this year, it's been exciting and busy! I've started a love affair with film photography recently and when time came to put together my monthly post I realized I hadn't shot anything personal with my digital camera this month. And so, this month's post is a collection of some of my favorite recent film images, I think it's safe to say I'm hooked!
Be sure to follow the circle and check out what my sweet and talented friend Bjorna Hoen Photography has been up to this month. Head on over to her Facebook page and show her some love there too!
